Hello and welcome to Daily Commander!
Today we are going to be talking about Saskia the Uniyielding!

Saskia is a four mana 3/4 with vigilance and haste, and when she enters you choose a player and whenever a creature you control deals combat damage to a player, it deals that much damage to the chosen player.
Saskia is very clearly designed to be an aggro Commander, and has a unique design in being able to spread the damage out a little bit. It does end up targeting one player over others, but we have access to four colors, which broadens our options.
Since we have access to white, then that means we have access to blink spells which can reset Saskia to target another player if necessary, so the plan will be to go aggro with a blink package so we can distribute the damage as we need to.

The first thing we need to look at are ways we can manipulate combat in order to get damage through.
Master Warcraft is a spell your opponents probably won’t expect, and its a way for use to get damage in, while also potentially getting rid of a bunch of problematic creatures our opponents control.
There is also something like Invasion Plans, which is an enchantment that forces all creature to block if able and the attacking player choosing how those blocks go as well. We can also get this effect attached to a creature with Brutal Hordechief.
If we want to control the battlefield, we also can use Crackling Doom, which can force our opponents to sacrifice their strongest creature, which makes their blocks even worse.
We can even force our opponents into attacking us via something like Disrupt Decorum, which goads all creature we don’t control, and that helps keep damage from getting to us.

Now that we have ways to manipulate combat to our favor, we need to look at ways to flicker Saskia in order to switch up who gets extra damage.
Charming Prince is a solid choice in this regard because not only is it a cheap creature that can flicker Saskia, but also has some additional modes that we can use as necessary.
Of course we have access to the other usual suspects in Ephemerate, Cloudhsift, and Flicker of Fate as instant speed flicker effects, which is good to have if suddenly a player gains a ton of life and needs to be answered.
We even have a conditional flicker spell that we can use as a form of removal in Touch the Spirit Realm, which can exile a creature or artifact while its in play of Channel for one and a white to blink a creature.

Now we do need a way to finish the game, which is notoriously difficult for aggro in Commander, so we need as many ways to deal extra damage as we can.
Sawhorn Nemesis has an effect that synergizes really well with Saskia because we can choose the same player as Saskia and deal double damage whenever we attack our opponents, triple if we attack the same player. Not only that, but we can also flicker Sawhorn Nemesis to reset which opponent it effects.
If we really want to clear our opponents board, especially if they are a go wide deck or make a ton of tokens, then we can also use Choice of Damnations, which forces an opponent to choose a number and we can have them lose that much life or sacrifice all but that many permanents.
We also can use Vial Smasher the Fierce as a way to deal some amount of damage equal to the mana value of the spell we cast, Pir’s Whim to destroy artifacts or enchantments or to help an opponent for a deal by letting them get a land, or Magnetic Mountain to deal with a blue opponent’s creatures by keeping them tapped.
Then of course we have other damage triggers to consider like Driven//Despair which gives your creatures trample and whenever they deal combat damage you draw a card, Toski, Bearer of Secrets which also does this while also being an indestructible body, or Rankle, Master of Pranks to either force everyone to discard, lose 1 life and draw, or sacrifice a creature.
Saskia can end up being a strong aggro Commander, and while being multiple colors allows us more options, getting all of the colors can be a bit of a pain. Aggro functions better with fewer colors and cheaper creatures, but Saskia does compensate this by giving us more options to work with.
Thank you for reading, see you tomorrow for the next Daily Commander!
Peace,
From, J.M. Casual
