Hello and welcome to Daily Commander!
Today we are going to be talking about Kozilek, the Broken Reality!

Kozilek is a nine mana 9/9 that when you cast it up to two target players manifest two cards from their hands and for each card manifested this way, you draw a card and other colorless creatures you control get +3/+2.
Our first colorless Commander is a high mana Eldrazi that gives our colorless creatures a bonus and draws us cards. While this is going to a fairly straightforward build, we need to consider that this is also a very mana intensive deck.

As one would expect we are going to be playing a huge amount of mana rocks and mana reducers.
Sol Ring and Thran Dynamo are going to be doing the majority of the heavy lifting, but we also have access to Hedron Archive which adds two colorless and can draw us two cards if we need them.
If we can get a decent amount of mana then we can cast Everflowing Chalice so we can have a mana rock that makes a ton of mana. Unstable Obelisk only adds one colorless, but can serve as removal later in the game, because while there is some colorless removal, it is not as much as we would want.
We can even play with other artifacts to manifest like Scroll of Fate or Dissection Tools, which we can use to get some of our creature payoffs onto the battlefield early.
Now we need to take a look at which creatures will get the most benefit from having Kozilek out on the battlefield, and remember we should have access to a lot of mana.

With the massive amounts of mana that we are planning to generate, then we can consider larger artifacts that have really good effects that would probably come in the later game other decks.
Threefold Thunderhulk comes in with three +1/+1 counters and when it enters or attacks it makes 1/1 colorless Gnome creature tokens, which means that if we have Kozilek out then we get six tokens that are 4/3’s, potentially each turn if they don’t handle Threefold Thunderhulk.
Myr Battlesphere is similar in that it makes four 1/1 colorless Myr creature tokens while it is a 4/7, meaning that we get a 7/9 and four 4/3’s onto the battlefield for seven mana.
We don’t even need to have these big mana sinks, since even an Ornithopter becomes a 3/3 for zero mana with Kozilek out. What’s more, we need to consider that we are going to be manifesting onto the battlefield when Kozilek is cast.

While there aren’t that many low cost Eldrazi, the ones that do exist tend to provide some sort of utility, which is incredibly useful in the late game.
It That Heralds the End can be used in the early game to make sure that our high mana things are cheaper while also being a lord for our colorless creatures.
If we get it later in the game, then we can manifest it when we cast Kozilek, which will draw us a card when we do and can give us more of a boost when we flip it for its two mana cost.
Walker of the Wastes can be a blow out when we flip it for five mana and we happen to have some number of Wastes on the battlefield to boost its power even more and trample over.
Looking back at artifact creatures, Phyrexian Soulgorger is a surprise I’m sure a bunch of people won’t expect, and since it’s three mana means that we can flip it for cheap and deal a massive swing if it goes unblocked.
Of the big mana Eldrazi Commanders, Kozilek is one of the more affordable options that can provide a fairly straightforward options in building. You won’t be reinventing the wheel to much with this Kozilek, but it can be fun way to play with a big mana Commander if you’re a newer player.
Thank you for reading, see you tomorrow for the next Daily Commander!
Peace,
From, J.M. Casual
