Hello and welcome to the Weekly Round-Up!

A late one, but I can’t help that naps feel really nice sometimes.

In any case here is a recap of the last week of blogs and what’s coming up in the week!

Daily Commander

Starting the week off was Marina Vendrell and building towards an enchantment matters Commander, even getting a shout-out on No Rerolls! Check their stuff out it’s great (not paid, they genuinely have some great stuff)!

Then we get into Masako the Humorless playing with Convoke and other tap mechanics to get the most use out of our creatures.

We opened up the stables for Sun Quan, Lord of Wu followed up by Maralen of the Mornsong to control our opponent’s draw steps.

We dove into some chaos with Plargg and Nassari then went big green with Jedit Ojanen of Efrava.

We ended the week by trying to convolute a ton of extra turns using Medomai the Ageless.

As far as what’s coming up, I have been working on a light theme for the Commanders that will be showing up, and if you take a look at the list of Commanders the pattern should become apparent.

If I had to pick a favorite for the week, I would say that Plargg and Nassari was a fun build around because I think that chaos is a fun archetype if played well.

Casual Chat

For this week’s Casual Chat I went into something a little more personal by talking about Writer’s Block, how it has affected me, and how I personally deal with it.

It’s something that I’m sure any writer has dealt with or is currently dealing with, and while the numbers weren’t there for it, I still think it was cathartic to write.

I don’t know how often I’ll do more personal Casual Chat’s, but I’ll be sure to sprinkle them in from time to time.

The next Casual Chat will be another off topic one, this time about me reviewing a piece of media. It’ll definitely be something different, but hopefully you all enjoy it.

This week will also feature the return of the Magic Super Cube talking about Arabian Nights, which is going to prove to be a bit trickier because of the smaller card pool.

In Conclusion

Getting the train rolling and blogs ready in advance, so I am less in a rush to make sure I get everything out on time has been really helpful.

We are also approaching my big news at the beginning of February, which isn’t too much for the blog, but a big thing for me and I’m excited to share it.

Until then, see you all next time!

Peace,

From, J.M. Casual
